The UK plug-in vehicle grant is administered by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV). It’s designed to encourage the uptake of electric vehicles in the UK by reducing the initial purchase cost to drivers.
The grant is available for electric vans and trucks and is applied for at the time of purchase, so when looking for an electric van, if the van is eligible, the discount will have been applied to the price of each of our electric vans.
The grants eligible until March 2023 and here’s a tip from us; the plug-in grant has gotten less generous over the years, so if you’re looking to get an eligible van, it’s best to get it sooner rather than later.
How much is the plug in grant?
The scheme offers between £2,500 – £16,000 off eligible van purchases and is only available on the greenest plug-in models. The value of the plug-in grant varies according to the size of the van it’s being applied to.
Gross Vehicle Weight vs. Discount
2.5 tonnes or less – Up 35% of the purchase price – Up to £2,500
2.5 – 3.5 tonnes – Up to 35% of the purchase price – Up to £5,000
3.5 tonnes and more – Up to 20% of the vehicles value – Up to £16,000

How do I apply for the grant?
We take the hassle out of the application process! Buyers don’t have to make any applications to benefit from the plug-in grant. If you purchase a van that’s eligible for the grant, the discount will be automatically applied.
